Full Job Description
You will be responsible for planning, organising, delivering, assessing and internal verification on Level 1 to Level 3 Creative Media Production and Games Design courses with your main specialism to be Games Development Course Leading on the Level 2 and 3 programmes. We are looking for a fantastic inspiring person or persons who can also engage and work with local, national and regional employers within the Gaming Sector to develop our curriculums ensuring that they are up to date giving learners the best opportunities to progress into employment or Higher Education. You will embed the development of English and Maths in teaching practice and ensure the effective and efficient use of innovative resources allocated to the programmes, contributing to the future direction and planning on site and online.
We ask that you are educated to degree level (or hold relevant professional qualifications) in an appropriate subject and have experience of teaching Level 1 to Level 3/4 Creative Media programmes, including BTEC and UAL syllabus. Recognised as a good or better teacher, you will have a proven track record of successful curriculum design, implementation and development in the curriculum area and have a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes, and how these can be used to enhance the student experience.
Industrial experience in Adobe programmes (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects etc) is essential, as is experience in 3D computer game design and 3D animation production pipeline and relevant software (3D Max, Maya, ZBrush, Mudbox and Adobe Suite). We also ask that you are highly proficient in texturing and modelling (high and low-poly).
The successful candidate will be eligible for any increase in salary as a consequence of the annual cost of living review that is implemented in the new academic year.
