Full Job Description

We are currently looking for a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Lecturer to join our SEND team at our Redbridge Campus. Our department delivers a range of courses including independent living skills, catering, communication, personal development, employability and enterprise. A commitment to working with young people/adults with additional support needs underpins all aspects of our work., The post will include tutoring and teaching groups of 16-24-year-olds plus our adult learners with learning disabilities and difficulties on a range of subjects including independent living skills, English and maths and Vocational Studies. The post will involve developing student's communication, independence and employability skills. An interest and commitment to personalised learning, including RARPA, a student-centred approach and experience of working with young people/adults with learning disabilities is essential. Experience and confidence with some or all of the following is required: Makaton, PECs, PMLD and ASD.

You should have or be working towards an appropriate teaching qualification (e.g. DTTLS or PGCE). You will be committed to developing programmes that meet the requirements of the College's quality framework.
