Full Job Description
The University of Roehampton is recruiting to the role of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Sport Psychology to join our sport and exercise science and allied health team. This is an exciting time to join the team as we expand our provision, with new programmes.,
- Deliver teaching that encompasses employer and skills-led experiential learning and professional development
- Provide academic leadership as appropriate with regard subject specialism and wider academic practice
- Engage in high-quality teaching and learning, research and/or knowledge transfer which demonstrably impacts on practice, generates external income, and contributes to the University's Enabling Strategies
- Participate in and help develop external networks for the benefit of the University and appropriate areas of teaching, scholarship, research and knowledge transfer.
- Develop strategies to enhance student engagement, satisfaction, and retention within the program. Participate in quality assurance and curriculum review processes, ensuring the program meets academic standards and student needs. The successful candidate will have skills and experience in
- Experience of teaching at university level and professional experience in the subject field
- Ability to increase and diversify our income through knowledge exchange activities such as CPD, and/or short course provision, service clinics and consultancy, or successful grant capture from external sources, industry investment, research and IP consultancy
- Extensive experience of teaching at university level in an interdisciplinary manner with evidence of delivering high levels of student satisfaction and outcomes or extensive professional experience of working across multiple teams with evidence of delivering high levels of end user satisfaction and/or outcomes, Disability Confident About Disability Confident A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer. This role is ideal for someone who has subject expertise and professional practice experience in sport and exercise psychology and experience in designing and delivering higher education provision within this field.
