Are you passionate about viticulture and keen to inspire the next generation of wine industry professionals? Plumpton College, a leader in the English wine industry and a recent winner of the Queen's Anniversary Prize, is looking for a dynamic and motivated Lecturer to join our Wine Department. This exciting role offers the chance to teach, develop cutting-edge courses, and engage with a thriving sector that's vital to the growth and sustainability of English wine production. What You'll Do:
- Deliver engaging teaching and practical sessions for undergraduate and part-time wine students.
- Develop targeted short courses for viticulture professionals in collaboration with industry experts.
- Play a key role in shaping and delivering apprenticeship courses and degree programs.
- Ensure high-quality learning experiences, meeting academic and vocational standards.
- Maintain strong networks within the UK wine industry and attend key forums.
Hold a degree or professional qualification related to the wine industry. - Commercial viticulture experience is essential.
- A teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
- Excellent communication and IT skills, with a passion for student success.
- Experience in curriculum development and an eagerness to contribute to innovative course designs.
