  • Develop targeted short courses for viticulture professionals in collaboration with industry experts.
  • Play a key role in shaping and delivering apprenticeship courses and degree programs.
  • Ensure high-quality learning experiences, meeting academic and vocational standards.
  • Maintain strong networks within the UK wine industry and attend key forums.

Plumpton College, a leader in the English wine industry and a recent winner of the Queen's Anniversary Prize, is looking for a dynamic and motivated Lecturer to join our Wine Department. This exciting role offers the chance to teach, develop cutting-edge courses, and engage with a thriving sector that's vital to the growth and sustainability of English wine production., Hold a degree or professional qualification related to the wine industry.
  • Commercial viticulture experience is essential.
  • A teaching qualification (or willingness to obtain one) is required.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, with a passion for student success.
  • Experience in curriculum development and an eagerness to contribute to innovative course designs.

The range of courses cover all land-based provision including Adventure Education, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Management, Blacksmithing & Metalwork, Dog Grooming, Environmental Studies & Conservation, Equine Management, Fisheries & Aquatic Science, Floristry, Food Skills (Bakery and Butchery), Forestry & Arboriculture, Horticulture, Motor vehicle, Veterinary Nursing and Physiotherapy, and Wine & Viticulture.
