Clinical Responsibilities
+ Appropriate clinical responsibility for the care of patients delegated by the consultant to their charge. Co-responsibility for the proper functioning of the department, including supervision of more junior medical staff.
+ Running of labour ward with consultant cover on-site during the day, consultant off-site after hours.
+ Clinical duties may be at Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville Hospital sites, with on-calls at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
+ One protected special interest session
+ Participation in clinical audit.
+ Attendance at clinical meetings and case conferences as appropriate.
+ Working within the multidisciplinary team.
+ Co-ordinating appropriate medical, surgical and allied disciplines concerned with patient care and communicating appropriately with general practitioners and community agencies.
+ Clinic duties such as gynaecology and ante-natal clinics, as well as some specialist clinics. Some gynae clinics are off site., We welcome applications from black, Asian and minority ethnic candidates, LGBTQ+ candidates, candidates with disabilities and care-experienced candidates.
