Full Job Description

Our highly skilled team of specialist solicitors have been established in the City of Wakefield for over 100 years.

We are seeking a highly organised individual with a background in Family Law to provide secretarial and administrative support, capable of working independently to uphold high standards of work quality and client service.

On offer is a family legal assistant role where you will gain some great experience. This is a great opportunity to develop under a Family Solicitor on a one-to-one basis.

Duties:

-Open new matters on client management system to include collecting and recording identification documentation and initial payments, inputting all relevant information onto the electronic file, production of initial documentation and correspondence.
- Maintain Fee Earner diaries by scheduling meetings and appointments.
- Assist in drafting legal documents such as court applications.
- Handle client enquiries, correspondence, and carry out accurate transcription.
- Manage file organisation according to firm standards.
- Assist in the safekeeping and retrieval of legal documents.
- Interact with clients professionally in person and over the phone.
- Prepare client communications and billing materials.
- Safeguard confidentiality of client and firm information.
- Perform additional tasks to ensure office efficiency.

Strong IT skills with the ability to become familiar with new systems quickly.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Secretary in Family Law services.
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, Outlook, digital audio software, and case management tools.,
