Full Job Description

Our client, a reputable law firm located in Richmond Upon Thames, is seeking a skilled Legal Cashier to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal cashier to contribute to the efficient management of the firm's financial operations. You will be responsible for handling a variety of financial tasks, ensuring compliance with legal accounting practices, and providing exceptional support to the firm's solicitors and clients.,

  • Manage financial transactions including client and office account transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR).

  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and maintain accurate records of all financial activities.

  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

  • Prepare and submit financial reports as required, including management reports and VAT returns.

  • Assist with payroll processing, including timesheets and employee expense claims.

  • Handle client queries related to financial matters and provide excellent customer service.

  • Ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.

  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks and financial projects as needed.

    Experience: Previous experience as a legal cashier is essential, with a solid understanding of legal accounting principles.

  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical and analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

  • IT Skills: Proficient in using legal accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.

  • Knowledge: Familiarity with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) and other relevant regulations.
