The role will provide you with the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the people of the East Midlands, supporting a dynamic legal team to help protect and serve the public in vital and dynamic areas of the law., As a legal secretary, based in our office at Alfreton, your responsibilities will include dealing with the public and members of police forces on the phone, creation and maintenance of legal cases on our state-of-the-art case management system, processing financial transactions, correspondence and other administrative duties.
We'll motivate you to work outside your comfort zone and encourage you to grow as part of the largest legal collaboration in Policing.
The East Midlands Police Legal Services Team (EMPLS) are looking to recruit a full-time, permanent Legal Secretary. This is a fixed based role at Horsefair House in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
EMPLS is an established collaboration providing legal representation and in-house service to five Police Forces covering the East Midlands region.
The role provides opportunities to support our work in providing legal services to a client base of over 10,000 officers and police staff, as well as helping to protect the public and maintaining high standards of the Police Service., Here at Derbyshire Constabulary, Police doesn't have to mean patrolling the streets. We offer a generous salary of £23,748 - £28,653 as well as key work/life benefits such as a competitive pension, generous annual leave, and flexi-time. For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
