Legal Services Team Leader (Planning and Regulatory)

We are seeking a Team Leader - Planning and Regulatory to join our friendly, supportive and dynamic Legal team supporting Stratford on Avon and Warwick District Councils.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable and self-motivated lawyer for this role, following the promotion of the previous postholder. You will have experience of at least one area of planning or regulatory work (e.g. licensing, housing, civil and criminal litigation).

You will work in a supportive environment having your own varied caseload of complex legal work advising senior officers and councillors on high profile cases across both local authorities. You will be an integral part of the Legal Team working with the Legal Services Manager and the Team Leader (Commercial) to shape the direction of the Legal Team. You will also lead and motivate an excellent team of lawyers.

Local government experience and management experience is desirable but not essential provided you have an interest and commitment to local government work and to managing and developing teams.
