Full Job Description

This is a hybrid role, enabling you to work from home and the office on a rota basis (at the Civic Centre, Twickenham TW1 3BZ). The role will also involve being out and about within the local community. What you'll be doing Your role will primarily focus on the co-ordination and delivery of the Leisure Strategy Action Plan. Working closely with partner providers / agencies to maximise opportunities and participation in physical activity and exercise across the borough. Developing the Community Sports & Physical Activity Network and Women & Girls Working Group. You will be part of a small sports development team responsible for delivering exciting sports programmes such as the London Youth Games, Richmond Inclusive Sports and Exercise Programme (RISE), Mini Marathon, and other programmes. You'll be working 36 hours per week, which will include some unsocial hours at times, as and when the role requires. What we'll need from you We are looking for someone with a thorough knowledge of trends in the sports/leisure/health sectors and experience of research and development, to support our work with the voluntary sector. You'll have experience of partnership working, delivering impactful projects that meet budgets, political requirements and support delivery outcomes. You'll have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and team members. In addition, an understanding of Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in employment and provision of service are required.
