Level 2 Early Years Educator Apprentice

Tangent House is looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about beginning (or progressing) their career in child care, you will work alongside qualified Childcare Practitioners, supporting the care and development of children aged 0 to 5. You should be eager to learn and (with experience) gain more responsibility throughout this apprenticeship; aiming to progress through to becoming a qualified Nursery Practitioner (and potentially through to Room Leader and beyond in the future). A good work ethic is required and the ability to communicate effectively with the people around you, including children, parents and other staff.
Nursery setting provides childcare facilities for children aged 0 years to 6 years. Sometimes providing for school children (before and after school club). Setting is well established in the local area. Daily duties will include but not be limited to cleaning, nappy changing, activity planning, completing development records for children, feeding time and other care routines. To work as part of the nursery team to provide high quality care and education for the children. To supervise and play with the children To oversee activities which cover all areas of children's development To liase with and support parents and carers Undertake certain domestic jobs within the nursery e.g preparing snacks and cleaning Ensure good hygeine and cleanliness is maintained at all times To support the team in providing effective planning for the Early Years Foundation Stage Ensure all nursery policies and procedures are adhered to To attend in and out of working hours activities e.g staff meetings To work
in a professional, efficient and caring manner at all times.
