Level 3 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship at West Coker C of E VC Primary School

An exciting opportunity has come up to appoint an enthusiastic teaching assistant to become part of our friendly and supportive team. You will be supporting an EYFS child on a one-to-one basis in a Key Stage 1 classroom. You will also be preparing some materials and recording progress and observations.

What will the apprentice be doing?
This role will be classroom-based with the successful candidate taking direction from the class teacher and SENCO to provide high quality support to small groups of children and individuals.

Duties will include:

- To help children of all abilities, including those with special educational needs to
learn as effectively and independently as possible, both individually and in small
groups
- To prepare materials and resources to support individuals, small groups and
classroom activities
- To work with children on individual targets in reading, writing and maths

Who is calm, flexible and imaginative
- Has good interpersonal skills and is able to use their initiative as well as working
well in a team
- Has a good level of English, maths and IT skills

A willingness to undertake the following training is essential:
- Children Protection and Prevent Training
- First Aid Training
- Food Safety Training
