Salary range: £28,545 - £28,977 pro rata, per annum (£19,030 - £19,318 per annum)
Work location: Fulham Library, 598 Fulham Road, SW6 5NX
Hours per week: 18 - 24
Contract type: Permanent
Vetting requirements: Standard DBS Check

Are you passionate about supporting our communities? We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to join our Library teams, to provide a fantastic service to local residents. We are looking for people to champion reading for all, to nourish and to develop our Libraries as community hubs where people can connect and enrich their lives.

Role Responsibilities:

-Collaborate on daily routines of library materials. Efficiently manage the customer service desk, process reservations, shelve returns, and maintain order on shelves and collections.
-To assist customers throughout their visit, to issue, return, reserve and renew library stock and assist them with the use of self-service equipment and computers.
-Process membership applications, assist with form filling, enter data into databases, and manage the reservation system.
-Answer customer enquiries, referring complex issues to senior staff.
-Plan and run community events and activities, including reader development, baby & toddler sessions, school visits, Under 5's groups, and IT taster sessions.
