Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Library Resources Assistant to join our team, providing support to both the Library Resources Team and the Stock & Systems Team in effective service delivery, focussing on library promotional activity and online customer relationship management to raise the profile of Library Service projects and activities., The primary focus of the role is to assist both the Library Resources and Stock & Systems Teams in effective service delivery, particularly focussing on library promotional activity and online customer relationship management - assisting the Resources Team in the creation and distribution of e-newsletters, including those designed for specific target audiences such as schools, early years settings and managing lists of key service contacts to be used for promotional purposes and to assist the Stock & Systems Team in all operational practices where required. The role includes the development of social media, website, and online channels of engagement to raise the profile of Library Service projects and activity, including the creation of content for social media. Supporting the implementation and maintenance of a digital community engagement platform to ensure effective communication via e-blasts, feedback surveys and other forms of promotion; capturing and responding to customer comments received via the Library Service email and social media platforms. Supporting colleagues across the library service in the co-ordination, promotion and delivery of the annual cultural activity plan, highlighted on the Library Roadmap, with a particular focus on the creation of promotional material; including creating and sharing regular staff briefing notes and training guides, relating to library system updates and developments, including the library management system. - Experience of work-based computer applications and creating promotional content.
