Full Job Description

This role leads the creation of Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for Engineering and Licensing offers in the Business to quantify and optimise their environmental impact. They do so by collecting, organising, and assessing data from across the business, enhancing the digital tools used in this process and using them to provide high quality environmental impact assessments. The role uses appropriate analytical and digital capabilities to communicate high impact and robust analysis to a wide range of stakeholders across the business. The role works under the guidance of the LCA lead and collaboratively with engineering and commercial colleagues to continuously strive for best-in-class environmental performance.
Your responsibilities:

  • Collect, organise and assess data from across the business using appropriate digital tools and use it to provide high quality environmental impact assessments, with a focus on Engineering and Licensing of CT's Sustainable Solutions.

  • To create and maintain appropriate data systems and digital tools to have full traceability and transparency of inputs to LCAs and to efficiently work with large amounts of interconnected data.

  • Critically review the type of data, accuracy and sustainability assessments to make suggestions for improvement, together with the LCA Lead.

  • Work with external 3rd parties, as necessary, to enable critical review, audit and other assurance processes, together with the wider team as applicable.

  • Acts as a sustainability champion for the business

    Degree equivalent level qualification in a relevant technical/physical sciences/engineering discipline or equivalent experience

  • Experience of working successfully within a matrix organisation

  • Experience of working with sustainability data and the ability to produce high quality, business relevant summaries of sustainability data

  • Experience of collecting, organising and analysing large amounts of interconnected data

  • Experience of using digital tools to analyse, simplify, visualise, automate engineering or scientific data (e.g. Python, Power Query/BI, Power Apps, Workflow automation, AI)
