Full Job Description

Predominantly based at our Blackburn premises, and travelling as necessary, the Lifting Equipment Inspector is responsible for inspecting all lifting gear across all 4Wall UK locations. This includes keeping accurate records of said inspections and ensuring 4Wall is Compliant at all times with all European/UK lifting equipment regulations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong customer service skills and high attention to detail. Role and Responsibilities

  • Inspect all lifting equipment across all 4Wall UK locations.
  • Ensure accurate records of all inspections are maintained.
  • Work with the Warehouse teams across UK locations to give them a basic level of knowledge pertaining to Lifting gear.
  • Travel to all 4Wall UK locations as required for inspections.
  • Maintaining health and safety standards (this includes wearing the wearing of PPE etc)

    Extensive experience of carrying out Lifting Equipment inspections on items including Chains, Slings, Shackles, Manual/powered hoists, Truss and various other forms of lifting Equipment.
  • LEEA Qualification or time served in relevant industry.
  • Strong Knowledge of Inspection techniques and regulations.
  • A Good overall Knowledge of the fundamentals of general engineering and strong attention to detail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
  • Physical Requirements The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Hours and Availability Full time – a minimum of 40 hours per week Monday- Friday. Overtime will be required as necessitated by the needs of the business which will include early mornings, late evenings and weekends.
