Full Job Description

Reporting to and supporting the Head of Products Supply and Trading in achieving sector specific strategic and operational performance and targets. The role will specifically focus on managing and developing Prax and the Prax Group business in the Light Ends Space, especially around export, import and refinery blending activity. As leader of the Light Ends Supply and Trading the role will cultivate, grow and close spot and term-based business, in line with the Group Strategy using a structured Trading planning process. Close collaboration with Prax Assets , Risk, Operations, Downstream Sales and Origination, to manage and develop commercial activity and have PnL responsibility for the Light Ends Book. Responsibilities

  • Directly manage and have PnL responsibility for the Light Ends Suppl&Trading Book
  • Actively Grow, Develop and Deliver Trade plans in accordance with the wider Group strategy
  • Strong focus on Asset, exports, blending and operational optimization
  • Active cross book collaboration
  • Driving and Continuously Improving Trading Processes, risk management
  • Understanding of the downstream Sales and operations processes and refinery optimization / flows to have a collective approach to other stakeholders
  • Understanding of the back office and finance functions
  • Negotiation and Structuring of long-term light ends contracts

    5-10 Years Light End Trading Experience
  • Asset Economics
  • Light Ends Blending
  • Risk and Exposure Management
  • Demonstrable Light Ends Arbitrage Trading Experience
  • Track Record of business development / origination
  • A thorough working knowledge of the UK downstream petroleum industry
  • Established network of contacts to support immediate enabling of Trading opportunities
  • Ability to appreciate market opportunities as they arise and develop short, mid-term and long-term strategic plans to realise the same
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Understanding of Light Ends trading cycles and Key processes and interface with other internal stakeholders
  • Strong numerical ability and experience of product pricing and the construction of supply economic calculations
