Full Job Description
Are you a dynamic and creative Literature Tutor? Then join us to teach courses, online and/or face to face, helping to bring together people across the capital and beyond and to enrich lives through learning. You'll be a key contributor to our thriving Literature department, which offers a wide-ranging and dynamic curriculum. We are looking for tutors who are able to teach across the following curriculum areas:
- Black British and /or American Literature (Fiction, Poetry and /or Drama)
- Global Literatures in English
- 21st Century Literatures (Fiction, Poetry and/or Drama)
- Poetry
- Literary Non-Fiction (e.g. literary Life-writing, essays)
A qualification relevant to the subject being taught (degree and/or postgraduate qualification). - Experience of teaching Literature, ideally to groups of adults.
- Ability to plan and deliver imaginative and engaging Literature courses, face-to-face and/or online, in collaboration with the Tutor Coordinator, understanding the interests and learning needs of the student cohort.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Have a commitment to Quality, Health and Safety, Equality and Diversity, customer care and safeguarding.
