Live Out Nanny

A wonderful full time nanny role has become available in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Starting in October 2024 as a four day role, this will increase to a five days in January 2025. The family is extremely friendly, both professionals, and have a love of the outdoors. They are looking for a kind, caring and energetic nanny, who would like to stay long term, and join their happy family, working as part of a team to keep their child happy and secure. They live in a beautiful five bedroom house, within walking distance of local activities and groups., The parents are keen for their baby to learn and develop in a balanced way, to help her to hit her various developmental milestones - with lots of outside play and walks to the park mixed with educational and stimulating indoor fun (reading stories, sensory play, singing, age-appropriate games, etc). You will be responsible for taking her to daily groups, classes and activities (music, swimming, etc). They would also like you to meet up with friends for play dates ensuring that she is always happy and safe.

You must be a confident and careful driver, with a clean licence, and your own fully insured car. Duty mileage will be reimbursed.

This role will nursery duties only, but some help to keep the house running smoothly would be appreciated - emptying the dishwasher, making sure all rooms used are tidy at the end of the day, running the occasional errand, etc.

As well as keeping all areas used by the baby clean and tidy (kitchen, baby's room, playroom, etc), the nursery duties are to include keeping on top of her laundry. You will also be responsible for providing her with healthy and nutritious meals and snacks each day, freshly prepared and home cooked. Batch cooking for the freezer would be appreciated. Knowledge of weaning and potty training is essential.

As well as the usual annual leave, you will be given additional holiday in between Christmas and New Year.

The most important thing is that you are responsive and create a warm, nurturing, and fun environment. This is a wonderful role and would suit someone who would like to help this friendly family.

This will be a sole charge role, looking after one delightful baby girl, aged one year. Someone who has worked with a baby of this age in the past would be advantageous. Mum and Dad both occasionally work from home.

The hours will be 08.00-18.30, with a little flexibility, due to work commitments. Any additional hours would be paid as overtime., Details of any qualifications needed for this job: Childcare if possible, but experience essential
