Full Job Description

A fabulous live out nanny position has become available in Taplow, Buckinghamshire. You will be responsible for looking after a happy and active little girl, aged four. She loves playing outdoors and arts and crafts - the more glitter the better! The family is looking for a nanny who has a passion for child development. A Spanish speaking nanny would be advantageous, but not essential.

This will be a sole charge role, so an organised and adaptable nanny willing to assist in maintaining a smooth-running household would be ideal.

The working hours will be:

Term time - 35 hours (34 weeks)
Monday-Friday, 12.30-19.30

School holidays - 60 hours (18 weeks)
Monday-Friday, 07.30-19.30

Your salary will be split evenly across the year. There is the possibility of additional ad hoc hours for babysitting. These additional hours will be mutually agreed and paid as overtime.

Although term time is busy with school pick up and homework, in the school holidays you will have the freedom to take the little girl to fun and educational activities and to meet her friends to help her to socialise, all while ensuring their safety and happiness.

Before the school pick up, you will have time to help keep the little girl organised, ensuring she has everything ready for the next day (uniform, sports kit, etc) and keep all areas used clean and tidy (kitchen, her bedroom and bathroom, playroom, etc). Your responsibilities will also include family laundry. Providing some assistance in maintaining the overall tidiness of the house, such as emptying the dishwasher, running the vacuum round, etc would be appreciated, although the family has a housekeeper.

You will be responsible for preparing healthy and nutritious family meals with an emphasis on home-cooked as often as possible. Batch cooking for the freezer would be helpful.

You will need to be a careful and confident driver, with your own fully insured car. Any mileage incurred during your duties will be reimbursed.

If you have a genuine passion for children and would relish the opportunity to be part of this lively and friendly family, this could be the perfect role for you.
