Full Job Description

This is an exciting new position co-ordinating data to deliver community liver health checks to at risk groups and liver surveillance. The post will involve setting up new working relationships and services in a wide range of healthcare settings. Our target population will be anyone at risk of liver disease. This will include people with diabetes, high cholesterol and harder to reach groups such as those in substance misuse and alcohol support services., The post holder will be responsible for collecting data regarding liver surveillance from the four provider trusts within the LSCCA cancer alliance. The post holder will also be required to collate and submit data for the Community liver health checks. This information will include test results, attendance for booked tests, future booked appointments and referrals. Responsibilities will also include escalating cases where timescales are not met, supervision of staff, collating and submitting data to a high standard, liaising with external stakeholders within the four provider trusts, the Cancer Alliance and NHS England.

The post holder will also be responsible for finding and arranging new sites for Fibroscan clinics across the alliance and managing weekly huddles to determine locations and teams. This will involve liaising with multiple agencies including provider trusts, GP surgeries and Drug and Alcohol services. There will be additional responsibilities to liaise with ELHT existing roaming services where the use of a clinical van is required. The post holder will also be required to maintain stock supplies for the outreach liver surveillance support workers. There will also be additional data to collect and submit to the National team regarding numbers of scans undertaken, diagnoses recorded, and referrals made.
