Full Job Description

We are delighted to advertise for a clinical obstetric lead as part of our Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS), making a real contribution to transforming maternity and neonatal services in Gloucestershire., The postholder will be responsible for clinical obstetric leadership of the LMNS, including clinical oversight of the Maternity and Neonatal Three Year Delivery Plan, which includes Saving Babies Lives Care Bundle and recommendations from national reports (e.g., Ockenden). The postholder will work as part of a small team at the ICB including the Senior Responsible Officer, Programme Director, Clinical Lead, Midwifery Lead, Neonatal Lead and Project Managers, as well as with clinical leadership from Gloucestershire Hospitals Trust, to support with implementation of the deliverables for maternity transformation, aiming to ensure that women and their families have access to consistent, safe, high-quality maternity and neonatal services.

The postholder will be a senior clinician with extensive experience in obstetrics or a related discipline. A high level of leadership and communication skills will be required to support the LMNS to overcome barriers to transformation and change.
