In this role, you will contribute directly to the design and development of cutting-edge products, working closely with like-minded innovators. Your creative input will be key to shaping new concepts, bringing ideas to life, and making a real impact on the future of our product portfolio. What is the role? Reporting to a Senior Designer and collaborating closely with our Product Development team, you will be at the forefront of identifying, creating, and delivering innovative new products. In this role, you will work directly with customers to spot opportunities for product development and collaborate with Marketing and Manufacturing to bring these ideas to life.,

  • Engage with target market stakeholders to develop products that meet customer, market, and business needs.
  • Take a hands-on approach to product design, including concept selection, prototype building, and the testing and validation of designs.
  • Focus on design for manufacture, working closely with production teams to successfully implement new designs.
  • Lead and own your projects from start to finish, ensuring cost, quality, and time objectives are met.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering innovative solutions.

    To be considered for this position, you should hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field. However, candidates with significant vocational experience in a similar role will also be considered.
  • You are a collaborator at heart, with a strong passion for design and innovation. Ideally, you have experience working in a design engineering role, preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Additionally, you bring the following skills and qualities:
  • Exceptional 3D CAD and visualization skills to bring concepts to life.
  • Strong knowledge of design and manufacturing engineering principles, focusing on injection moulding and metal fabrication.
  • Hands-on experience in prototyping and product testing to ensure products meet quality and performance standards.
  • A creative mindset with a natural ability to challenge assumptions and seek out the best design solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Solid computer literacy and comfort with various design and engineering software tools.
