Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a highly efficient, flexible and skilled systems coordinator, to support the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) Service in Coventry.,

  • Reviewing, developing, enhancing and maintaining business systems to enable and increase efficiency of LADO Service functioning.
  • Producing and analyse performance data.
  • Assist in reporting of service performance against any Local Authority set performance indicators, as well as external indicators, such as feedback/ complaints, and trends identified within data and practice.
  • Accurately, efficiently and professionally minute highly sensitive and confidential meetings, including LADO Position of Trust meetings held in the event of allegations being made against staff & volunteers who work with children.
  • Liaising with a range of professionals agencies as required (such as Health, Police, Education, and Children's Services).
  • Developing and maintaining excel spreadsheets for performance reporting and workload/ workflow management.
  • Tracking and pursuing progress of referrals with partner agencies, to support timely resolutions/ decision-making and closures to the LADO Service.
  • To operate within key IT systems (LCS) as required by Service Manager within the LADO Service.
  • Supporting the council's digitalisation transformation and maximising benefits for the LADO Service.
  • Arranging, coordinating and facilitating meetings.
  • Fixed Term Contract 6 months. This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

  • Forward thinking and innovative specifically in relation to business systems, data analysis and digital solutions.
  • Ability to take accurate and professionally presented minutes, within within complex and sensitive meetings.
  • Strong IT skills (including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to adapt and work flexibly within a changing and fast-paced environment .
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A consistently well-organised, methodical, proactive and efficient approach.
  • Ability to problem-solve, act with creativity, and use initiative.
  • An ability to establish relationships with staff, visitors, and customers.
  • A calm disposition and an open 'can-do' attitude.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and develop.
