Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Staffordshire Childrens Front Door, based in the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) for a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO). This is a 12 month, fixed term role in the management and coordination of allegations against people working with children., As an experienced social worker in safeguarding children you will be working within an team to ensure that allegations are dealt with in a timely manner that is robust and fair with positive and effective working with all stakeholders and partner agencies.

As an experienced social worker, to apply for this role you must have:

· A social work degree and be Social Work England (SWE) registered.

· Post qualifying social work experience in children's safeguarding.

· Knowledge of the LADO role and underpinning legislation and guidance.

· Knowledge and skills in management of risk.

· Experience of multi agency working with the ability to scrutinise and challenge.
