Are you a dynamic, forward thinking, and experienced LD Professional or Leader looking for a new challenge?

Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) Learning Disability Service are looking for a new Locality Operational Lead to work across our all age Morecambe Bay services.

This post is a full time 37.5hr per week permanent post. Operational Leadership underpins the delivery of all NHS Services and is a complex and rewarding area of specialism and is open to both clinical professionals and professional managers.

Main duties of the job

The post is based in The Bay, our service has 3 main sites: one at Barrow, and two in Lancaster. It is expected that the successful applicant would divide their time appropriately across the bases ensuring a regular presence in each.

The learning disability service is a fast moving, complex and dynamic place to work with great opportunities for the further development of your leadership skills and obtaining further and higher qualification.

The successful applicant will be a confident and experienced individual, well organised, have a sound working knowledge of the leadership styles needed to work at individual, team, service and system level; have a strong history of working in multi-disciplinary community teams, an excellent understanding of the health needs of people with learning disabilities and an up to date understanding of the key national and local issues that Learning Disability Services encounter on a day to day basis.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
