Locally Employed Doctor - Registrar Cardiology

Cardiology consists of a 50 bedded purpose built cardiology unit with 3 cardiac catheterisation laboratories, a 12 bedded CCU, 5 echo rooms, a 14-bedded day ward, a TOE and stress-echo room, as well as a dedicated cardiology out-patient suite including rooms for device follow-up, ambulatory monitoring and specialist nurses., The general aspects of the appointment provide the opportunity to work in close contact with 19 consultants, each with complementary experience and interests that cover all aspects of clinical cardiology. Additional responsibilities are divided between ward cover, outpatient clinics and chest pain clinics. Training in cardiac catheterisation, pacing, echo, PCI and electrophysiology will be tailored according to individual experience and training requirements.
