Depending onpreviousrelevant experience &previousNHS experience, higher banding/rates can be discussed. This is an excellent job opportunity for a consultant to gain more experience and skills working within AMU. This role is to work within the St. Helier site for Epsom and St. Helier NHS trust. Specialist physician in Acute Medicine, with an interest in a chosen specialty if desired. The post is a basic 10 + 0.5 programmed sessions (8 DCC, 0.5 DCC patient admin, 2 SPA). We aim toprovidetheSPAover1 daytoenable hybridworking. For those with a another specialty interest there is an opportunity to undertake 2 programmed DCCsessions in thechosen specialty if appropriate following discussion and agreement with specialtydepartment(6.5 AcuteMedicineDCC,2SpecialtyDCC, 2 SPA).

· Hold a medical qualification orqualificationregisteredwiththeGMC · Entry onto the SpecialistRegisterforGMCorbewithinsixmonthsof obtaining CCT · Appropriate higher medicalqualificationi.e.MRCP/MRCS orequivalent · MD or equivalent higher degreeorevidenceofrelevantresearch, · Has attended a recognisedmanagementtrainingeventorwill have such training oncompletion ofCCT · Supervisionofpostgraduatetrainees · Personal time managementskills · ClinicalGovernance · Abilitytoorganiseinpatientandout-patient waitinglists · Familiaritywithinissuesofservice organisation anddevelopment, · Experience of teaching basicclinical skills toundergraduates/postgraduates · Experienceofsupervisingjuniordoctors · Experience of teaching Laygroupsandotherstaffgroups · Ability to supervisepostgraduateresearch, · Ability to work in partnership todeliverapatientcentredservice · Demonstrate an understandingandwillingnesstoembraceuserinvolvement · Goodinterpersonalskills · Enquiring,criticalapproachtowork · Abilitytocommunicatewithpatientsandrelatives, · Willingnesstoundertakeadditional professionalresponsibilitiestolocal,regionalornational levels · Willingnessto workwithconsultant colleagues andmanagementtomaintainanddevelop a comprehensiveservice · Able to make ownarrangementsfortravel
