Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant to join the Dermatology team at Whittington Health. This is a fixed term post comprising of 8 programmed activities at Whittington Hospital with clinics in General Dermatology, Paediatric Dermatology, Skin Cancer Screening, Biologics for Psoriasis and Dermatological Surgery. There is also the opportunity to substitute a General Dermatology programmed activity for Routine Teledermatology, depending on service need.

The service seeks a dynamic, innovative and enthusiastic colleague, committed to the highest standards of practice, evidence-based medicine and quality assurance. Whittington Health is a key provider of Dermatology services in North Central London (NCL) and is a leading partner in the NCL Dermatology network. It serves the populations of Haringey, Islington and Camden directly, and receives referrals from across London through the NHS Choose and Book service. It manages approximately 10,000 patient attendances annually. The successful Locum Consultant will be central to the further development of Dermatology services at Whittington Health., Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trustbelieves that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
