Full Job Description

Candidates are invited to apply for the post of Locum Consultant in Emergency Medicine on the University Hospital Lewisham site. This hospital will be the principal place of work. Other work locations including off site working may be agreed in your Job Plan where appropriate, e.g. for supporting professional activities and some direct clinical care such as audit notes. The successful applicant will generally be expected to undertake your Programmed Activities at the principal place of work or other locations agreed in the Job Plan. Exceptions will include travelling between work sites and attending official meetings away from the workplace. The successful applicant may be required to work at any site within your employing organisation, including new sites., To help ensure the smooth running of the service provided by the Emergency Department. To work with other Consultants in the Emergency Department to ensure provision of a safe and effective emergency service to the local population through clinical work, teaching and training, audit and management., 1. Improving representation at senior levels of staff with disabilities, from black, Asian, and ethnic minorities background, identify as LGBTQ+ and women, through improved recruitment and leadership development
2. Widening access (anchor institution) and employability
3. Improving the experience of staff with disability
4. Improving the EDI literacy and confidence of trust staff through training and development
5. Making equalities mainstream
