An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Locum Consultant Haematologist , to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at UHDB. This is an 11-PA replacement post joining a team of 11 consultants overall., Currently, there is liaison with the regional transplant centre in Nottingham for autologous stem cell transplant, and Birmingham QE Hospital for CAR-T therapy. Part of our 5-year plan is to establish our own autologous transplant and cellular therapies program. An interest or previous experience in transplant and cellular therapies would be desirable although not essential for this role. The apppointee will have the opportunity to shape the future of the growing haematology service. This is an exciting time in the evolution of haematology care at UHDB and we would be pleased to hear from any candidate wishing to consider this role and discuss ours and their vision for this.
