Full Job Description
Surgical management of Elective and Emergency Colorectal Surgery. The candidate will work within a department of 10 colorectal surgeons across three sites delivering cancer, benign and proctology surgery.
Activity will also include delivery of lower GI endoscopy lists and participation in the Emergency General Surgery service based at the John Radcliffe Hospital
The Colorectal Service is a department of 10 colorectal surgeons within the Surgical Directorate based at the Churchill Hospital . The Directorate comprises of: Colorectal Surgery, Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery, Oncoplastic Breast Surgery, Hepatobiliary Surgery, Endocrine Surgery, Elective and Emergency General Surgery
The Directorate is part of the SUWON Division ( Cancer & Haematology, Gastro Endoscopy & Theatres, Renal, Transplant & Urology, Gynae and Obstetrics)
The department's expertise covers the full range of colorectal surgery with high volumes of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, pelvic floor disorders and proctology. The new consultant will have a broad training in colorectal surgery and able to integrate and help develop the above services.
