Full Job Description

The core component of this post is to provide general critical care cover across the QE Critical Care unit. The post holder must understand the significant ongoing changes in the Trust's services and be prepared to take an active part in the change program.

A standard full time job plan will contain 10 programmed activities. A programmed activity will normally have a timetable value of 4 hours and a full-time consultant.

will normally devote 9 programmed activities to direct clinical care. The remaining programmed activities will be devoted to supporting professional activities. The successful candidate will be invited to discuss these options with the Clinical Service Lead on appointment.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates who hold a CCT or equivalent in Intensive Care. We encourage those with both single and dual CCTs to apply for this post. There are potential sessions available within the regional transfer service (ACCOTS) for those that have a particular interest in transfer medicine.
