Full Job Description

The job description is a reflection of the current situation and will be reviewed regularly in discussion with the post-holder depending on the needs of the service in line with the Hospital/Institute and Unit's goals. The key roles of the post holder will be:

  • Providing radiological reports on conventional radiographs and CBCT imaging
  • Providing radiological support for MDT meetings
  • Work alongside radiography team to ensure high quality diagnostic images
  • Work alongside dental team to provide radiological support as required
  • Participate in the training of staff, and to take an active role in teaching and audit.
  • Aid in the provision of salivary gland diagnostic imaging and salivary gland interventions
  • Support Head and Neck Radiology team in the undertaking of ultrasound examinations and tissue sampling
  • Support Head and Neck Radiology in providing reports for cross sectional radiological examinations if required (CT, MRI)
  • The post holder will also be encouraged and expected to take part in audit at both departmental and hospital level.
  • Participate in training of DCTs and Undergraduates when and if appropriate.

    We are seeking to appointment a Locum Consultant in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology to join the Royal London Dental Hospital on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is a full-time position (10 PAs). The successful candidate will have experience in Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology including conventional radiography, CBCT, Ultrasound and Sialography. The post-holder will be working with dental radiologists, medical radiologists and radiographers to support the delivery of the service.
