Full Job Description

The Department of Dermatology at St George's Hospital is seeking a locum consultant dermatologist (10 sessions) to cover a period of maternity leave. An intended start date would be January 2025 with interviews in December 2025 (provisionally Monday 16th Dec)

We are looking for a candidate who will excel clinically and academically within a friendly and busy department. The postholder will be working alongside other consultants in a supportive and dynamic environment.,

  • Certificate of completion of training (CCT) in Dermatology or within 6 months or equivalent (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist registration -CESR or European Community Rights) (A)

  • Postgraduate degree (A) MD / PhD (A)
  • Skills Essential
  • Able to run clinics and services efficiently and smoothly
  • Desirable
  • Enthusiasm and expertise in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching
  • An interest in clinical research
  • Experience Essential
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in dermatology
  • Experience of managing patients with general dermatology and skin cancer screening
