This post is an important part of our ongoing development of General and Emergency Surgery at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust andispart of an expansion to meet the rising demand of General Surgery in our area. The successful applicants will be offered the opportunity to work closely with the existing surgical consultants in the Trust to provide a high standard of care across the Trust. We are seeking consultants with enthusiasm, commitment, and drive to work closely with colleagues throughout the organisation and within the community to help lead the organisation. This is an excellent opportunity to join the General Surgery department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust. The successful applicant will join a service that prides itself in effective leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent teamwork. We strive to challenge our existing working practices and constantly to improve our service to deliver best practice guidance. We aim to deliver successful patient outcomes, whilst allowing patients to feel valued during their visits to the Trust.
- Shared responsibility for the day-to-day management of the General and Emergency Surgery service and participation in strategic planning
- Teaching and training within the multidisciplinary service
- Active involvement in multidisciplinary team meetings and directorate clinical governance activity
- Active participation in continuing medical education
