Full Job Description

We are seeking an accredited Gynaecological Oncologist to join the Gynaecological Oncology team as a Locum Consultant Gynecological Oncologist as soon as possible, with a mutually agreed start date for a fixed six-month period.
The post will include an all-day operating list and 1:4 theatre list cover on two other days of the week and associated surgical clinics. It is expected that the post holder will operate independently with maximal surgical effort for women with advanced ovarain cancer and additionally be a skilled robotic gynaecology oncology surgeon. The appointee will form part of the on-call rota and will participate actively in the running of the busy gynaecological oncology in-patient and out-patient service., The post will include an all-day operating list and 1:4 theatre list cover on two other days of the week and associated surgical clinics. Given the Department's research emphasis, this post also presents an opportunity and expectation that the appointee will expand their clinical academic portfolio, with flexible time within the job plan that can be utilized for research. This could either be with appointee's own research experience and planned portfolio or contributing to the departments current research emphasis on prevention within our Precision Medicine Service.
