Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sexual and Reproductive Health Consultant to help deliver and shape the future of women's health services within the NHS. If you are passionate about improving healthcare outcomes for women and have sexual and reproductive health experience including provision of complex contraception, ultrasound and genital dermatosis we would love to hear from you.

We are looking for an experienced consultant with a commitment to and passion for improving services and outcomes for patients and their families., Essential

  • Full General Medical Council (GMC) registration with a license to practice
  • DFSRH (not required if has MFSRH)
  • Desirable
  • Dip GUM GCP
  • Faculty Registered Trainer, Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English that are adequate to enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues
  • Experience Essential
  • Experience of working in an integrated sexual health service
  • Experience of safeguarding adults and children procedures and management
  • Experience of providing services to young people including under 16s.
  • Experience of provision of complex contraception
  • Desirable
  • Experience of working in multi- ethnic & multicultural communities.
  • Experience in teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Experience of conducting research in the field of sexual health/HIV
  • Skills Essential
  • Ability to develop good working relationships
  • Good organisational skills
  • Desirable
  • Good teaching skills
  • Knowledge Essential
  • Ability to provide level 1-2 STI management including genital dermatoses
  • Commitment to Clinical Governance / Improving Quality of Patient Care Essential
  • Clinical governance: Understanding of the clinical governance process. Track record of engaging in clinical governance
  • Evidence of leading quality improvement
  • Experience leading the clinical audit process and an understanding of its aims
  • Evidence of interest and experience in teaching all members of MDT
