Locum Consultant in Urology

Duties will include but are not limited to: The overriding purpose of this job is to support the provision of highest quality diagnostic and therapeutic patient care, for prostate and bladder cancer patients through personal actions and continuous improvement such as the development of focal treatments for the bladder and prostate pathway, while working closely with the existing team of 4 pelvic oncology consultants. The appointed candidate will support the existing team of pelvic oncology consultants to achieve and sustain performance against key national waiting time standards from referral to treatment for suspected prostate/bladder cancer patients within 2ww, 28- and 62-day waiting times. To support the existing team of pelvic oncology consultants to manage unexpected surges in suspected prostate/bladder cancer referrals and the increased demand on follow up numbers within current resources.
