Locum Consultant Neurologist

This is a one-year locum post (shorter terms can be discussed if desirable), ideal for a candidate looking for a fixed term post or not yet ready to commit to a substantive permanent post. This is to cover a period of planned staff absence. The job is advertised as full time, but we would be happy to consider less than full time working.

In this locum post, you will be expected to contribute to the acute and general out-patient neurology service at the RVI including a share of the out-of-hours on call and support the specialist epilepsy service. There is also a commitment to a local DGH, covering general neurology, epilepsy and inpatient liaison one day a week., This post is a one-year locum post (shorter terms can be discussed if desirable)|based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in the regional neurosciences centre. You will provide a general neurology service, comprising acute and elective outpatient and inpatient work with a share of the out-of-hours on call and will take part in the provision of a specialist service in epilepsy. There is also a commitment to a local DGH, covering general neurology, epilepsy and inpatient liaison one day a week. We are happy to consider less than full time working and consider individual circumstances if DGH working would be difficult. The starting date of the period needing covered is October 2024.
