Full Job Description

This is a Locum consultant post (x 1) in Neuroradiology, primarily in neurovascular intervention. This tenure of this post is 6 months in the first instance and expected to be for up to one year with the intention for the successful candidate to start imminently. The post is based at King's College Hospital, Denmark Hill site, with support to the Princess Royal University Hospital site. There are currently 16 Neuroradiologists, including 5.5 (WTE) interventional consultants, who deliver this specialty service across the KHP sites., The remit of the post holder will be to work within the multi-disciplinary team providing and further developing care for patients presenting to Neuroradiology and to provide support for the existing neurointerventional and diagnostic services. The individual will be required to play an active role in the general workload of the department including the out of ours provision of emergency aneurysm treatment and Mechanical thrombectomy for stroke. Commitment to teaching and training of junior staff is also encouraged.

The post will have an on-call commitment to provide a neurointerventional service and the post holder will be expected to contribute to the performance and governance agenda of the division.

The post holder will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate training.
