Full Job Description
Applications are invited for a locum consultant to cover maternity leave at Bolton Hospital NHS Trust. The post attracts generalist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, with an opportunity to develop a variety of special interests.
The successful candidate will participate in the general workload of the department including out-patient clinics and ward duties (obstetrics and gynaecology clinic activity), labour ward cover, maternity theatre and elective gynaecology lists, involvement in departmental risk management and governance.
The on call duties will include working on a 1: 8 resident on-call weekday and 1:18 non-resident weekend rota.

The Family Care Division aims to deliver the highest standards of care in maternity, sexual health, gynaecology and a range of acute and community children's services. We deliver over 6,400 babies and carry around 1,500 gynaecological procedures each year. The Trust also has a tertiary level Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, enabling 1 in 4 women across Greater Manchester to receive in-utero transfer and birth at extreme premature gestation at Bolton.
