Full Job Description
Consultant Psychiatrists are expected to deliver both obstetric liaison, psychiatric outpatient clinics and Home visits. The antenatal care will take place in the antenatal clinic settings in maternity, at women's homes, or other locations in the community as is convenient for the mother.
Consultations can also be undertaken via telemedicine, the trust being an early adopter of Attend Anywhere, whose use has increased since the pandemic.
Postnatal care from the Specialist Perinatal CMHT could take place in a number of settings including home visits, CMHT bases, community assets, essentially as close to home as is required as well as by telemedicine.
The SPCMHT's are multidisciplinary teams within the specialist network.
Applicants should hold full GMC registration and must be included on the Specialist register of the GMC .
It is a requirement that applicants are Section 12 Approved at the time of commencing employment and have Approved Clinician Status. Remuneration will be as set out in the terms of the New Consultant Contract according to previous experience., At least 2.5 SPAs as standard for a full time post (we would be flexible in looking at enhancements to support other activities that support the wider ambitions of the Trust).
