Full Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Locum Consultant in Plastic & Reconstructive surgery with main responsibilities for Soft Tissue Sarcoma and Microsurgeryfor Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The main focus of this post is sarcoma, with additional areas of responsibility in support of other sub specialties. This is a new post created to support provision of the above services and with a view to facilitating dynamic succession planning. The expectation for this post is to make a future substantive appointment and Royal College approval is being sought on this basis., The post-holder will join established oncology, microsurgery and trauma teams. They will be responsible for excisional sarcoma as well as reconstructive oncology, microsurgery and general plastic surgery. They will also participate in the burns and plastic surgery on-call system. Other consultant cross-cover will be required on a flexible basis.
