Full Job Description

This is a fixed term post as QVH Radiology Department seeks to expand its team of consultants. The post is for a consultant radiologist with a keen interest Head & Neck and Dental imaging (including CBCT) . There is the expectation to be able to report general radiology examinations including:

  • CT

  • MRI

  • US

  • X-ray

  • There is an expectation to support registrars, CDC pathways and to work flexibly to cover colleagues., This role is to cover core staging work for Head and Neck, CBCT reporting and general specialities as well as our imaging work performed on behalf of primary care and CDC.
    Reporting to cover the following modalities:
  • X-ray

  • US, including carrying out US guided biopsies

  • MRI

  • CT and CBCT

    Detailed job description and main responsibilities
  • To support clinical reporting of work

  • MDT participation/ reporting governance

  • Training and supporting registrars/ reporting radiographers

  • Support sonographers with report queries

  • REALM/governance meetings

  • Pathway development for CDC

  • Participation with imaging network at T&F groups
