Full Job Description

The post will have a commitment to support a range of services, including CT, MRI, plain radiograph reporting, ultrasound, non-vascular interventional procedures, multi-disciplinary team meetings including the Skin MDT and clinico-radiological meetings. There will be an on-call commitment depending on the skill set of the successful candidate.

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Locum Consultant Radiologist with a subspecialty interest in Gastrointestinal and Hepatobiliary Radiology to join the Radiology Department of Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate would be joining a team of 21 full time equivalent body radiology group within a dynamic team of 60 consultant radiologists.

The post would be across both NUH campuses with close working relations with many clinical medical and surgical disciplines.

We are a Major Trauma Centre, the first Radiology centre in the East Midlands Radiology Consortium and a Tertiary referral centre for many services including Hepatobiliary, Thoracic, Trauma, Colorectal and Intestinal failure services .

Clinical services provided on the Queen's Medical Centre campus include a very large Emergency Department (A&E), regional hepatobiliary (HPB) centre and anal cancer specialist service. The regional Bowel Cancer Screening programme (Eastern hub) is based here., With over 19,000 staff, we are one of the biggest employers in the city with a central role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our local population.
