Locum Consultant Radiologist with an Interest in Breast and Imaging

Radiology services to patients in Coventry, Rugby and the surrounding districts.

To work with the existing Radiologists to deliver the department's activity. This will include ensuring that all appropriate waiting lists and waiting times are adhered to, that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner and that the principles of risk management and clinical governance are maintained at all times.

To support multi-disciplinary team meetings.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Full Time Locum Consultant Radiologist with Interests in Breast and Body Imaging to join our teams in the Breast Imaging and General Radiology departments at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) is a large teaching hospital, major trauma centre and breast screening centre. It is one of the largest and busiest NHS teaching trusts in the country housed in a modern, specially designed PFI facility (which ensures a guaranteed equipment replacement programme) caring for over a million people from across Coventry, Warwickshire and beyond. This Trust is one of the largest providers of healthcare in the area with a complement of over 1,200 beds for a local population of 500,000 and a regional population of 1.5 million.

This post will be primarily based at the University Hospital site and will involve involve 10 programmed activities (10 PA), with 1.5 SPA. Suitably experienced candidates will be able to take part on the Body Consultant on call rota and will contribute to provision of Breast symptomatic and screening diagnostics., University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire (UHCW) NHS Trust, rated as good by the Care Quality Commission, is one of the largest teaching Trusts in the UK.
