Locum Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedics - Lower Limb

Main duties of the role: Provide advice on complex clinical problems based on interdisciplinary principles. He/she should provide second opinions for concerned patients at the request of consultant colleagues. Take an active part in continuing medical education. Provide clinical training for junior staff and undergraduate students and participate in the weekly postgraduate programme. Participate actively in audit, and will be encouraged to pursue research and education activities. Be encouraged to participate in Trust, Regional and National developments to facilitate modernisation of the speciality and enhance the profile and capability of the organisation for the benefit of patients and staff. Be encouraged to contribute to the management of the department with the objective of the continued improvement of the service. To liaise with the other Lower Limb Surgeons in respect of annual leave and study leave to ensure that there is always at least one Lower Limb Surgeon available to provide
advice and support and to undertake Lower Limb trauma lists.
