Full Job Description
We are seeking a highly qualified General Surgical Consultant to join our team on a 1-year fixed term locum basis to cover maternity leave. The successful candidate will join a team of 4 Upper Gastrointestinal (UGI) surgeons at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital (RBH) site and 4 UGI surgeons at the Poole General Hospital (PGH) site.,
- Participate in a 1:9 General Surgical Consultant non-resident on-call rota at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital site.
- Provide elective surgical and endoscopy services across three hospital sites: Royal Bournemouth Hospital, Poole General Hospital, and Wimborne Community Hospital.
- Perform elective operating lists, endoscopy procedures, and outpatient clinics as per the weekly job plan.
- Potential for involvement in oesophago-gastric cancer resectional surgery, Bariatric surgery and advanced endoscopic procedures, including robotic surgery.
